In 1987 the family owned JFC opened for business to supply specialised plastic products to the agricultural industry. It is now a global organisation, with 60 per cent of products made at its Tuam plant exported to 35 countries around the world.

The company which employs 175, has developed a range of plastic products for many markets such as equestrian, hotel and catering, agriculture, environment, road building and the construction industry. The company has more than doubled in size over the last three years and the projected Turnover for 2005 is € 30 million. Their acquisitions, in a five million Euro deal, of the Delleve Plastic company in Stratford-upon-Avon and Reprise Plastic Recycling firm in St. Helens means that JFC can now convert 20,000 tonnes of plastic bottles per year, into corrugated drainage pipes, known as JFC CorriPipeä for use in the construction industry.  The company has also perfected the complete range of plastic fittings required for connecting the JFC CorriPipeä.

CorriPipeä is a Twin Wall High Density Polyethylene Pipe manufactured from a blended black polyethlene, by a twin extrusion process.

Two high-density polyethylene pipes are extruded simultaneously, one inside the other, and heat-welded together in one continuous process. The outer wall is corrugated and the inner wall is smooth finished.

JFC's HydroCell is proven cost effctive method for alleviating flooding and storing stormwater.

JFC's HydroCell offers an alternative method of underground storage of stormwater a a very economical costs. Architects, Planners and Consulting Engineers now always consider "Attenuation" when they discuss planning, drainage, storm water etc.

Key Product Features
While the plastic bottles are processed into plastic pellets in the firm’s UK plants much of this material is then transported to the Tuam factory to be made into the pipes that are supplies to the Irish market. Thus this company’s UK operations are also benefiting its Irish workforce as well.
